Nambale Vocational Training Centre was the host for the Governor, Busia County Sospeter Ojaamong and his entourage during the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of their administration block at the institution. The event was full of pomp and color as he encouraged those who recently graduated from the vocational centres in the county to make use of their tools to become self-reliant. The governor also promised to provide toolbox kits to interns who completed their internship in areas such as mechanics and carpentry. The governor also used the event to give an order setting up business training and incubation centres for TVET graduands. Other commissioned projects included the construction of Dirakho and Bukoma administration blocks; Katakwa motor vehicle workshop renovations and Onyunyur Vocational and Training Center (VTC) carpentry and joinery workshop construction.
