MKU GRANT WIN

Mount Kenya University school of Pure Applied Sciences in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology has won an international grant. The grant is for restoration of Brankenhurst forest in Limuru. The grant will also facilitate the assessment, documentation and protection of indigenous medicinal plants at the forest, and determination of the medicinal components of the plants. The grants activities will benefit both undergraduate and postgraduate students because they will be involved in the field of and laboratory research. The students will benefit from the program in the three-year grant period.
